Care Initiatives has launched a 12-location pilot program for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) staff development. The CNA Mentorship Program is designed to give newly-hired CNAs a consistent point of contact from orientation through their initial six months of their employment. The program will include orientation, training, and professional mentoring by an experienced CNA selected by facility leadership to serve as a mentor.

On April 5, 2022, Members of Care Initiatives Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council met with leadership from Special Olympics Iowa to deliver a $10,000 donation in honor of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, which is observed in March.

National Healthcare Decision Day Event
Friday, April 15, 2022 - 1:00pmRead MoreOn April 15, 2022, Care Initiatives will host a company-wide National Healthcare Decision Day event from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. All 43 skilled nursing facilities will simultaneously host the event. Six of the seven hospice locations will co-host at a local skilled nursing building, while the Manchester Care Initiatives Hospice office will host independently at their location.
