About

Creston Specialty Care offers all the comforts of living in a small Midwestern town, with a few city-like advantages. Located on 6 acres, our nonprofit, skilled nursing care center is quiet, peaceful, safe and serene with wonderful views and friendly staff. We also are conveniently located next to the Greater Regional Medical Center, Creston Medical Arts Complex and Crossroads Behavioral Health Center for easy transport for doctors’ appointments, dialysis and other specialty treatment.

Attending to each resident’s health is our top priority. Our physical therapists, occupational therapists and specially-trained restorative staff, work diligently and compassionately with each patient to return the highest level of functioning possible. The end goal is always to return home, but while in our care, your loved one becomes a part of our family.

Creston Specialty Care therapists work with state-of-the-art therapeutic equipment from the Accelerated Care Plus program. With 26 different modules, these programs set individualized goals, track and record recovery and with minimal discomfort. ACP programs are used to heal from hip replacement or knee replacement surgery, arthritis, wound care, incontinence, balance, strength and more.

From homemade food and meal selection to an afternoon fishing trip, we are dedicated and committed to making each resident comfortable and happy. We enjoy different group activities often involving a core group of community volunteers. Square dancers, bingo, prom style show, Bible study, community barbecue, musical entertainers…there is always something to enjoy at here. We are particularly proud of our outdoor courtyard and memory garden where residents and their friends and family can soak up the sun and watch the beautiful Iowa countryside.

We hope you’ll stop in to see us soon.
