Care Initiatives invests in improving resident access to care
Serving resident transportation needs increases care access and quality of life
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (March 19, 2024) — As part of Care Initiatives’ commitment to improving the health and quality of life for Iowans, the state’s largest non-profit operator of skilled nursing facilities has invested more than $200,000 to support the transportation needs of residents. New wheelchair-accessible vans have been delivered to three skilled nursing facilities and will provide greater access to care, improve community engagement, and provide peace of mind for resident families.

In recognition of their dedication and commitment to preventing the spread of COVID-19, nine Care Initiatives skilled nursing locations across Iowa have been recognized with Telligen’s Blue Ribbon in COVID-19 Vigilance Award. This places each organization on Telligen’s Iowa 2023 Blue Ribbon in COVID-19 Vigilance Recognition List.

Blue Stone Therapy Chosen by Care Initiatives as Rehabilitation Services Provider
Iowans to Benefit with Locally Focused Providers
West Des Moines, Iowa (Feb. 19, 2024) — Blue Stone Therapy, Iowa’s largest therapy provider, has been selected by Care Initiatives as the sole provider of rehabilitation services – including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy – for Care Initiatives’ skilled nursing and hospice locations, beginning April 1, 2024.
