Care Initiatives Makes Donation to the APTA Iowa Foundation

{Des Moines, Iowa, March 9, 2022} – Care Initiatives donates to APTA Iowa Foundation.

On February 24, 2022, Members of Care Initiatives leadership met with leadership from APTA Iowa to deliver a donation to support the education of physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students.

In making this donation, Care Initiatives Chief Executive Officer, Mike Beal stated that the donation is part of Care Initiatives’ commitment to the organization’s core value of “always learn.”  “We strive to support the education and advancement of our own staff daily.  By contributing to physical therapy students’ education our hopes are that we are propelling our mission well into the future.”

In a statement on behalf of APTA Iowa, Executive Director Natalie Battles thanked Care Initiatives for its contribution.  “The APTA Iowa would like to thank and recognize Care Initiatives for their generous donation to the APTA Iowa Foundation. APTA Iowa Foundation’s mission is to support current and future physical therapists and assistants by establishing, funding, and granting scholarships for students enrolled in Iowa therapy programs. The Foundation also supports research that optimizes treatment provided by physical therapists and assistants. This donation will truly make a difference, and we greatly value the support we have received.  Thank you, Care Initiatives, for your contribution and commitment to furthering the physical therapy profession.”

Care Initiatives is Iowa’s largest not-for-profit skilled nursing care and senior care provider.  Care Initiatives and Care Initiatives Hospice operate 58 skilled nursing, rehabilitation, Alzheimer’s/dementia, assisted living and hospice locations throughout Iowa.
