Care Initiatives welcomes new Regional Director of Operations
Andrew Wagg, MBA, LNHA, ALMC has joined Care Initiatives as the Eastern Iowa Regional Director of Operations.
He holds a degree in business administration from Coe College and a master’s of business administration with emphasis in human resource management from Mount Mercy University. Andrew is a licensed nursing home administrator in multiple states and is also a certified assisted living manager in Iowa.
Andrew started his healthcare administration career in 2006 as an administrator of a small rural facility with the Healthcare of Iowa Management Group. He went on to oversee large urban facilities in Cedar Rapids for Unity Point Health, as well as multi-facility continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) with Benedictine Health Systems in Minnesota, serving residents in independent living, assisting living, memory care, home health care, and skilled nursing facilities (SNF). He has extensive experience working with acute care providers and SNFs in population health management.
Andrew has also been active with the Iowa Health Care Association (IHCA). He participated in IHCA’s inaugural Leadership Academy in 2017, served on the IHCA Reimbursement Committee, and on the IHCA Board of Directors.
Andrew is a strong advocate for quality resident care and has a passion for workplace culture and staff development. “I’m looking forward to supporting the facilities through staff engagement and leadership development,” he says.
Andrew lives in the Cedar Rapids area with his wife Megan and their 4 children.
