Long-time staff members honored as Outstanding Employees of the Year

Roberta Adams and Wilma “Jane” McDaniel of Lamoni Specialty Care received awards from parent company Care Initiatives for their dedication and excellent service and caregiving.

Adams, of Davis City, was honored with the Outstanding Housekeeping/Laundry Service Employee Year for 2015. McDaniel was honored as Nurse of the Year for 2015.

Adams has been a valuable asset to the staff and residents since 2001. “Roberta has a can-do attitude and is great at training new employees in housekeeping and laundry,” says Administrator Jackie Welchans. “She is quick to help out in other departments too when needed.”

McDaniel, of Kellerton, has been with Lamoni Specialty Care since 1989. “She goes above and beyond the call of duty as an LPN which is evident in her dedication and concern for our residents,” Welchans says. “She has also served as a dietary cook and aide on weekends when there has been a need.”
