  • Weekend celebration at Dunlap Specialty Care

    The staff and residents at Dunlap Specialty Care had a big open house celebration on May 13. They celebrated the end of National Nurses Week, the beginning of National Nursing home week and their 40th anniversary! The afternoon was spent enjoying hot dogs, hamburgers, lots of goodies and plenty of socialization. Area locals joined in for the celebration and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! We can’t put into words how thankful we are to live in such a supportive community. Thanks to all that came out to celebrated with us!

  • State Center Specialty Care receives highest rating fourth year in a row

    For the fourth year in a row State Center Specialty Care has earned a “Deficiency Free” result on its Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals annual survey.  There are 412 nursing facilities in Iowa. Generally, only 5 percent are found to be deficiency-free.
