Lantern Park CNA receives county award
Grace Aliwanag (left) of Lantern Park Specialty Care and Cindy Strunk (right) of Crestview Specialty Care were recognized Thursday, June 16 at the third Annual Going the Extra Mile ceremony hosted by the Johnson County Long Term Care Quality Committee. This ceremony recognizes outstanding CNAs as nominated by their respective Johnson County LTC facilities. Cindy has been employed at Crestview for 36 years and “her work ethic and love of helping others has made her a stable force at Crestview”. Lilo joins family at LaPorte City Specialty Care
In March, LaPorte City Specialty Care welcomed its newest “quality enhancement team member” - a guinea pig named Lilo. Lilo was adopted from the Cedar Bend Humane Society and has quickly acclimated to the large family she moved in with. Lilo is full-grown female at 2-3 years of age.

Bedford Specialty Care receives highest rating
Bedford Specialty Care is pleased to announce it has received a “Deficiency Free” result on its annual survey in March by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals.
The annual survey, which is conducted over several days, covers over 500 quality, safety and performance issues such as medication management, proper skin care, assessment of resident’s needs, respect for residents rights and dignity, food service, environment and administration.
