With Lake Panorama nearby, Panora Specialty Care and Assisted Living are located in picturesque Panora, Iowa, making this an ideal location to rest, recuperate and enjoy. Our 46-bed skilled nursing facility offers private and semi-private rooms in a comfortable and attractive setting. Our 11-apartment assisted living complex was built is 2000 and features accommodating floor plans and lots of natural light.
In 2014, we completed an upgrade and renovation to enhance our Rehab-to-Home and therapy services. Our new therapy wing features private dining, spacious private rooms, private bathrooms, a spa-tub suite, and a separate larger state-of-the-art therapy gym. Our goal is to be the area’s Rehab-to-Home therapy provider of choice, helping patients become fully independent after surgery, sickness or an injury through short-term, out-patient therapy or in-patient therapy and skilled nursing care.
Highly trained specialists in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy are on hand every day to work with our residents one-on-one in our state-of-the-art therapy room. Therapeutic programs are customized and created in conjunction with each resident’s primary physician. Goals are established and rigorously measured to improve healing time from injury or illness and prevent some injuries from happening.
Our professional staff and caretakers are also well-versed in each resident’s care plan. Their caring compassion is evident in every interaction. A sense of family and the support of the surrounding community give each resident a place to call home.
Dozens of musical entertainers pass through our living room ranging from professional crooners to school music groups. Small group activities featuring presentations from area craftspersons or personalities are frequent. Donated jewelry and clothing becomes a fun jewelry party and shopping experience for the ladies looking for a little something new. Of course, Mother’s Day, Christmas and all the holidays have special entertainment, and the week of Grandparent’s Day brings everyone in for our big picnic. During the warmer months, there are frequent road trips to area towns for sightseeing, and our Walking and Wheeling program has gotten more of our residents out and about with trips through our Memory Garden. The annual style show has been a big hit since its beginning in 1990.
