Care Initiatives welcomes new Regional Director of Operations

Andrew Wagg, MBA, LNHA, ALMC has joined Care Initiatives as the Eastern Iowa Regional Director of Operations.

He holds a degree in business administration from Coe College and a master’s of business administration with emphasis in human resource management from Mount Mercy University. Andrew is a licensed nursing home administrator in multiple states and is also a certified assisted living manager in Iowa.

Kristen Lyons earns Care Initiatives Always Learn Award

Kristen Lyons, Assistant Director of Nursing with Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo was awarded the Care Initiatives 2019 “Always Learn Award” at Care Initiatives annual awards brunch Friday, Dec. 6 in West Des Moines.

Alesha McGee Earns Serve Others Award

Alesha McGee, cook at Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls, received the “Serve Others Award” at Care Initiatives’ annual awards brunch Friday, Dec. 7 in West Des Moines.

Just weeks after joining Pinnacle Specialty Care, McGee was put to the test and followed through with a smile. “Shortly after Alesha started, our dietary manager left and Alesha stepped in and tackled the duties for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All of our residents had their meals that day because of Alesha,” says Administrator Kristie Kremer.
