Diana Stowe Earns Work as a Team Award

Diana Stowe, Business Office Manager (BOM) for Eldora Specialty Care and Valley View Specialty Care, has received the 2019 Work as a Team Award at Care Initiatives’ annual awards brunch Friday, Dec. 6 in West Des Moines.

Stowe joined Eldora Specialty Care in 2000 and has excelled ever since. She became the business office manager of Valley View in 2017. Being a business office manager is a lot of work, but to take on two facilities serving as the linchpin for each team is quite a feat.

July, 2018 - Valley View Specialty Care in Eldora has been named to the National Nursing Home Quality Care Collaborative Honor Roll to recognize its performance on the Nursing Home Compare long-stay quality measures. Nursing homes on the Nursing Home Quality Collaborative Honor Roll have achieved a quality measure composite score which is aligned with the top 10 percent of nursing homes in the U.S.

There are 412 nursing facilities in Iowa. Generally, only 5 percent are found to be deficiency-free.

‘Twas the day before departure from Valley View Care

I pondered on how I could thank those working there.

Each of you who are nurses, LPNs and CNAs,

Took care of my needs for 23 days.

 

There’s Crystal, Kristina, Nancy, Holly and Clarissa,

And Charlotte, Ashley, Amber and Melissa,

Valley View Specialty Care Named “Best Nursing Home”

(Eldora, IA – December 12, 2016)  Valley View Specialty Care in Eldora was named a “Best Nursing Home” by the U.S. News & World Report 2016-17 Nursing Home Finder report released last month. Nursing homes are eligible to receive this distinction if they score between a 4.5 and 5.0 on a 5.0 scale. According to the report, Valley View Specialty Care received a perfect 5.0 rating and is recognized as a “Top Rated Nursing Home.”  The report uses existing federal nursing home rating information and federally reported health care data to come up with their own rating system.

Valley View Nursing & Rehab Center Receives Bronze National Quality Award

Valley View Nursing & Rehab Center in Eldora has been recognized as a 2015 recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award for its dedication to improving the lives of residents through quality care. The award is the first of three distinctions possible through the National Quality Award Program, presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The program honors centers across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to improving quality care for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
