Care Initiatives is a nonprofit organization whose mission is:
- To provide for the health and convalescent care needs of the elderly in local communities through pleasant, secure and homelike health care facilities staffed by professionally trained and caring personnel.
- To support charitable and benevolent causes which improve the quality of life of the elderly in the communities in which our facilities are located.
When you’ve made the decision to begin the search for a new home, whether permanent or temporary, for your loved one, you may not be sure where to begin. Such decisions can often be a stressful and unsettling experience for everyone involved. As Iowa’s largest not-for-profit senior care provider, Care Initiatives can put you at ease and help you to find the perfect home for your loved one– whether it’s a skilled nursing facility, assisted living center or an independent living center.
Although each Care Initiatives’ facility is unique, all have a warm, comfortable atmosphere for our residents. We take pride in our approach to caregiving and are committed to providing for the specialneeds of each of our residents. Our facilities offer physical, occupational and speech therapy programs, which are designed to return our residents to their original home, or improve the quality of life for those that will stay with us following their recovery. We also offer palliative services through Care Initiatives Hospice. Our 56 locations across Iowa are certified by both Medicare and Medicaid.
We hope you will take some time to explore our website, read about our facilities and learn a little more about what makes Care Initiatives special. Then, call us at any of our facilities, to discuss your personal needs and allow us to answer any questions. Thank you for spending some time learning about us.
We are proud to be statewide sponsors for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s! Registration is available now for walks happening all around Iowa this fall.
