Crestview Specialty Care Named Best Nursing Home

(November, 2018) – Crestview Specialty Care in West Branch has been designated a “Best Nursing Home” in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Nursing Homes list for 2018-19. U.S. News evaluated 439 nursing homes in Iowa and thousands across the country. This designation places Crestview Specialty Care in the top 18% of Iowa nursing homes and in the top 12% of all nursing homes evaluated nationwide.

Crestview Specialty Care makes national honor roll

Crestview Specialty Care has been named to the National Nursing Home Quality Care Collaborative Honor Roll to recognize its performance on the Nursing Home Compare long-stay quality measures. Nursing homes on the Nursing Home Quality Collaborative Honor Roll have achieved a quality measure composite score which is aligned with the top 10 percent of nursing homes in the U.S.

Crestview Specialty Care receives top national rating

Crestview Specialty Care in West Branch received a rating of 4 out 5 in the U.S. News & World Report 2017-18 Nursing Home Finder report released last month. The report uses existing federal nursing home rating information and federally reported health care data to come up with their own rating system. Criteria such as annual state survey results, medical quality measures, staffing levels and rehabilitation outcomes are all formulated to reach the rating. More than 15,000 skilled nursing facilities in the United States were reviewed.

Crestview Specialty Care Receives Silver National Quality

Crestview Specialty Care has been selected as a 2017 recipient of the Silver – Achievement in Quality for its outstanding performance in the health care profession. The award is one of three distinct awards possible through the National Quality Award Program, presented by the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

Crestview Specialty Care receives highest rating seven years running

For the seventh year in a row, Crestview Specialty Care received a “Deficiency Free” result on its annual survey in January by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals. There are 412 nursing facilities in Iowa. Generally, only 5 percent are found to be deficiency-free. The facility and its staff have every right to be proud. Crestview Specialty Care also continues to retain its 5-Star rating as calculated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Crestview Specialty Care receives highest rating six years running

For the sixth year in a row, Crestview Specialty Care received a “Deficiency Free” result on its annual survey in February by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals.

The annual  survey, which is conducted over several days, covers over  500 quality, safety and performance issues such as medication management, proper skin care, assessment of resident’s needs, respect for residents rights and dignity, food service, environment and administration. With the increase in regulations, achieving the distinction of a “deficiency-free” rating is very prestigious.
