Donating to Care Initiatives Hospice
Care Initiatives Hospice, a not-for-profit hospice provider, accepts gifts and contributions intended to further our mission. As we care for patients, we often learn of unmet needs or unfulfilled wishes and dreams. Memorial and other monetary donations given by thoughtful individuals allow us to respond to these needs. Often, in ways that exceed our patients’ expectations.
Private donations to Care Initiatives Hospice have helped us arrange for a patient who is a lifelong fan of high school wrestling to take a trip to the state championship. Contributions have been used to rent a virtual reality headset to give a woman the experience of skydiving. We’ve been able to fund a trip of a mother and her daughter to the Mall of America for a shopping date. Donations have allowed us to purchase a window air conditioning unit for a patient with no AC in her home. These quality of life gifts are beyond any measure of value.
Donations can be made by cash, check, money order or readily marketable securities paid in any amount to any of our six office locations. A receipt will be issued to the donor and recognition will be sent to family members.
Care Initiatives Hospice gifts are received unconditionally and may be used for such purposes as determined by Care Initiatives Hospice, unless subject to agreement that the donation be for a specific purpose. Care Initiatives Hospice serves in 66 of Iowa’s 99 counties. We provide hospice care to eligible patients, regardless of ability to pay. We are proud, active members of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Iowa (HPCAI).
