  • Avoca Specialty Care receives highest rating

    Staff at Avoca Specialty Care celebrate a perfect survey administered by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals. They received zero deficiencies.  There are 440 nursing facilities in Iowa. Generally, only 5 percent are found to be deficiency-free.

    Skilled nursing facilities are inspected annually to evaluate services and renew state licensure. Unannounced, state surveyors arrive to interview, observe, and check records for several days.   • Care Initiatives Hospice - Greenfield welcomes new volunteer coordinator

    September, 2019 – Amanda Phillips has joined Care Initiatives Hospice – Greenfield as Volunteer Coordinator. She is a recent transplant to the area making her home on a farm near Diagonal.

    Originally from Kansas, she received her bachelor’s degree in photography from Kansas State University and studied abroad in Morocco. She has lived in Vermont, Colorado and Missouri working in employee recruitment.

  • Corydon Specialty Care quilt raffle to benefit Wayne Theater

    Everyone is invited to join in the Corydon Specialty Care Quilt Raffle to benefit Wayne Theater. The quilt was made by Charlotte Rouse, and donated by Cheryl and Dick Rouse.

    Tickets are available for purchase - $1 for one or $5 for six - at our care center. Ask for Christy, Paula or Cheryl or one weekend mornings, ask for Cheryl or Alisha. The drawing will be held on Family Night, Tuesday, Sept. 17.
