Marshalltown resident honored as Outstanding Maintenance Employee of the Year

Rory Wedgwood of Southridge Specialty Care in Marshalltown received Care Initiatives Outstanding Maintenance Employee of 2015.

Wedgwood has been a valuable asset to the staff and residents since 2002. “When a repair order comes in, it’s like Rory can read our minds and has it fixed before we know it,” says Administrator Murt Steffen. “He has been out on the rooftop in subzero weather. Come in from his family Thanksgiving dinner to correct a problem. He even cooks special meals and brings them in for residents who don’t have family to take them out.”

“He truly cares about making life better and more enjoyable for our residents and staff,” Steffen ads
