Susie Moore chosen for Care Initiatives’ Be Consistent Award
Susie Moore, a CNA at Lamoni Specialty Care received the Be Consistent Award at Care Initiatives’ annual awards brunch Friday, Dec. 6 in West Des Moines.
“Susie and her team are on second shift most nights and its always the most stable shift and the work always gets done right,” said Administrator Billy Meyers. “She never seems to have a bad day.”
“Susie is the residents’ favorite, because she always treats them like family and with respect,” Meyers added.

(December, 2019) Kali Stone, RN, CHPN has been promoted to Team Director of the Care Initiative Hospice – Cedar Rapids office. In her role as Team Director, Stone will oversee an expert team of registered nurses, hospice aides, spiritual care and bereavement counselors, social workers and devoted local volunteers. Manly Specialty Care receives state’s highest ranking
(December, 2019) Staff at Manly Specialty Care are celebrating a perfect survey administered by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals. They received zero deficiencies. There are 439 nursing facilities in Iowa. This is the second consecutive year.
Generally, only 5 percent are found to be deficiency-free.
